Artist statement

Khairulddin Wahab is a Singapore-based artist whose practice is informed by anthropogenic histories of Singapore and the Malay archipelago. Referencing material that spans anthropology to visual culture and symbolism, Khairulddin explores the influence of the natural world in forming particular beliefs and cultural traditions, through notions such as mythology, spirituality, and mysticism.
